Summer Employment Academy
For Summer 2020, we have created Summer Employment Academy for all in the clouds! This 4-series class is open to all high school students. We will discuss soft skills and self-determination skills in a fun interactive format. The first class is Tuesday July 14 at 11am. We also have a class for middle school students which starts Tuesday July 14 at 10am. All classes are one hour. Register here.

A 4-week summer program in which high school students with Down syndrome have on-site career experiences along with in-class soft skills employment training. Eligibility – any student with Down syndrome age 16 years+ who are still in high school. Class are held Monday to Thursday for 4 weeks during the summer at the DSAGR office. Students are in-class two days per week and then on a job site two days per week. The student rotates through 4 different job sites for an individualized and well-rounded career exploration experience. While at the job site, they have the opportunity to practice the soft skills they are learning in class while working with a job coach. Class size is 8 students with Down syndrome.
